Dusk

2011

A print in the Mariken series. This is a famous medieval Dutch story. Mariken is sent to Nijmegen by her uncle to do some shopping. She wants to spend the night with her aunt, but she does not allow it. Mariken returns home on foot. Completely upset, she prays for help, from God or from the devil. You don't have to ask the devil twice. The print shows the moment when the animals in the open field try to stop Mariken from her cry of despair. "Don't do it, Mariken!". will prove in vain. View the printing process of this print on my blog.

Homesickness

2012

An original print from the Mariken van Nimwegen series. This is a well-known medieval Dutch story. After Mariken spent seven years in Antwerp with the devil, she returns to Nijmegen. I think she was homesick. A sinful and dissolute life also has routine, it seems to me. Even the voluptuous sparrows can't get Mariken to move anymore. And poppy no longer intoxicates her. It's time to repent. View the printing process of this print on my blog.

Moenen seduces Mariken

A print in a series in which the story of Mariken van Nimwegen is central. The devil himself, Moenen, seduces Mariken to go on an adventure with him.
